Northwestern’s relationship with Argonne also includes playing a role in the lab’s management. Northwestern President Morton Schapiro and Jay Walsh, vice president for Research, serve on Argonne’s Board of Governors with Walsh also serving on the Science Policy Council. The Science Policy Council, a collaboration among Northwestern University, the University of Chicago and the University of Illinois, guides the interactions and scientific directions of Argonne and its Illinois academic partners.
